Hi,
In one of our UCS C 210 M2 server the DVD Drive is not working. Whenever i use a bootable CD it will not boot using that CD. When i checked the boot order option i dont see the CD/DVD Drive. Then i checked in BIOS and found out that DVD Drive is not visible in BIOS also.
Is there anyway to make this work. The CD/DVD Drive is SATA type.
Krishna.

Krishna,
If you don't see it in BIOS, try and check that the SATA cable is firmly seated into both the DVD drive and the chassis. Or, possibly re-seat the cable.
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Krishna,
Just to isolate the boot from DVD issue, are you view / access the D contents from OS when insert the CD ?
If OS is able to detect CD contents, then DVD drive is good.

Thank You David. It worked. I reseated the cables once again.
