UCS Chassis - IO Modules became inoperable in power outage

Our data center lost about power during some work on their UPS. The net effect out some

of chassis is that the power deliver was degraded. It showed itself in the IO Modules becoming

inoperable during the outage. We knew the power design was bad and we were in the middle of
correcting it. But I was surprised that the 5108 chassis could fail in this way. It would have been

less disruptive if a blade or two had shut down than for IO Modules to go inop. Has anyone
ever seen this condition before? Could there be any way to prioritize the IO Modules for

power? Thank you.

It would take a TAC case and Chassis log review to see what kind of power loss, brown outs, etc were observed by the IOMs.

Did you have this configured in Grid mode, with two separate power circuits, with only one of the circuits and PSUs having power issues?
