Currently we are running the folllowing configuration
2 x Chassis
2 x FI
8 x Blade Servers (4/Chassis)
2 x Server ports per every IOM
1 x Ethernet Uplink port per FI
1 x FC Uplink port per FI.
In the future we are looking at increasing the amount of Blade servers and possibly another Chassis.
How do we determine when we will need the following:
- 4 Server ports per IOM
- More Ethernet Uplinks and start pinning
- More FC uplink ports and start pinning
What are the best ways to monitor current performance out of the uplink ethernet and FC ports to determine if there require more ports?
I expect if the whole Chassis was full (8 Blades) then we should use 4 ports per IOM but is there a way to check on the throughput of these connections?
Also current license is only 8 ports per FI so we would need to increase this but what incrementals can we increase it by (e.g. 16 ports, 24 ports etc..??)
