I bought new cisco ucs C220 M3 server and install esx from cisco custom iso

But when i run esx ten minutes later system down . And storage adapter missing . Like photo

Hi,

most probably your UCS server firmware needs an update as this was a common issue in the older release.

Following defect was resolved in Release 1.5(4e):

BIOS

Symptom For systems that use the LSI SAS 2008 Mezz, LSI 9240 and 9220 PCIE adapters, when IOMMU is enabled on these systems:

• Server crashes while booting.
• RAID volume corruption occurs.

Hi,

i know the following might seems odd, but have you followed the instruction of upgrading the firmware. have you used the one on the flexFlash or from ISO file boot loader.

i believe i have run so many servers Cisco's non of them has stopped or hanged while loading.

this is maybe your good luck so you will explore a new issue that cisco can fix.

i would be happy to help you if just you can list the steps you e=went through to upgrade the firmware or even remote login.
