I have a UCS chassis with 8 B200 M3 blades (running 2.0.5a). Each blade contains a VIC 1240 and a VIC 1280. The blades have a service profile that is already associated to them and everything is working fine. I purchased EMC xtreme cache cards for those blades so I need to shut-down each blade, remove the VIC 1280 and insert the new xtreme cache cards. My question: will I be able to re-associate the original service profile to the blades once I inserted the xtreme cache cards or do I need to create a new service profile template and create new service profiles?
I know that I will get an error when I try to associate an invalid service profile to a blade but I'm trying to figure out whether it will work before I actually do it.
Thank you in advance.

Hello Ernes,
Regarding service profile association, you can use the same profile after making hardware changes and creation of new service profiles is not required.
I assume you refer to LSI 400GB SLC Warpdrive adapter when you refer to EMC xterme cache card.

Correct, LSI 400GB SLC.
Thank you for confirmation. That is great.
