UCS to Brocade SAN in FC Switch mode

Is it possible to connect a Brocade FC SAN to the Fabric Interconnects once having them set up in FC Switch mode?

No ! we don't support any interop modes !

the only solution is running FI in NPV mode, and Brocade in Access Gateway (NPIV)

Why can this not be done ? we have many UCS installations connecting to a Brocade fabric with NPV mode
