usNIC support for UCSM managed C-series server

According to

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/usnic/c/deployment/1_5_2/b_Cisco_usNIC_Deployment_Guide_For_Standalone_C-SeriesServers.html

usNIC is only supported for standalone c-series server, with VIC-1225 and RHEL

Any plans to support this for UCSM managed c-series (connected with FEX to FI), and additional OS, e.g. W2012 R2 ?

Hello Walter,

UCSM 2.2 ( next major release ) is planned to include usNIC feature for both blade and ucsm-managed rack servers.

Thanks Padma

Does it mean, VIC-1240 and VIC-1280 will support usNIC for blades and VIC-1225 for rack-mounts ?

Any other OS support, besides RHEL ?

V2.2 = El Capitan ?

Btw. can you publish any performance numbers (latency, throughput) for usNIC ?

Hello Walter,

usNIC dev team actively write blogs under HPC and you might get better response for your questions / comments to those posts :-)

Hello Walter,

Based on the feedback, OpenMPI is not supported on Microsoft OS and so no usNIC support.

Performance numbers are currently available under NDA.
