Hi. We have a UCS C220 M4 with a VIC 1387 unused (we don't have QSFP+ switch ports or Cisco FI available). We see that IMC has an option to configure the adapter with "Admin speed: 4x10Gbps" and we want to know if we could connect the QSFP+ port to a SFP+ switch (non Cisco) with a breakout Cisco cable.
Thanks for you support.

Greetings.
I could not find documentation specifying only Cisco switches can be on the other side of the QSFP 10Gb breakout link.
I suspect as long as the other switch supports the 10Gb spec and other specs such as LLDP/DCBX etc, it should connect.
You may have to work through the SFP+ specific compatibilities with the other switch.
The 1387 spec sheet does list a number of compatible breakout cables.
Thanks,
Kirk...
