Virtual Machines Created Outside Of UCS

Hi All,

I'd like to know the options for building UC machines ahead of deploying them on a production UCS platform. Since these machines are 'virtual' one should be able to convert and/or import them as needed. What I'd like to do is build several machines and have them ready when the UCS is configured. Any tools for this?

Hello ,

I assume you are planning to migrate UC apps from MCS to UCS servers.

From UCS /VMware  perspective, you can have the VMs ready by deploying UC OVAs and installing the necessary software. If you are using other server hardware running ESXi, here are the supported VMware features on migrating the VMs

Supported hardware for virtualizing UC apps

In general, there might be requirements from UC apps and would suggest you post it in Voice forums on best practices.

Here is one preso on platform migration.
