I was away on cisco UCS a couple of months from now and this thing still bugs my mind. I was only able to implement a software implementation of ucs using nexus 1000v, assign port profile, port-group, qos, acl on the nk1v
I read before that VN-Link is the hardware implementation it would bypass the hypervisor, where the VM is directly connected to a vNIC. I've heard VM-FEX before but is this doing the same funtion of VN-Link? Just an FYI I was not able to handle UCSM 2.0 and I have only experiece UCSM up to 1.4
Also when Implementing VM-FEX / VN-Link, where can we set the policies that we can set in nexus 1000v like access-list, qos?

Before UCSM 2.0 releases, VM-FEX was known as VN-Link in Hardware.
