Which version of code to upgrade to

ronald.nutter
Level 1
Level 1

I am currently on 2.1.1e/1f depending on how you look at UCSM.  Due to a possible hardware problem relating to NTP, VMWare has requested that I upgrade to the latest available code.  I am not usually one to go bleeding edge without a very good reason.

I have upgraded CIMC to 2.1(3c) and BIOS to 2.3.3a on two of my blades as a test.

my UCSM is at 2.1(1e).

I did go to a Cisco class on UCS but we didnt really touch on doing upgrades.  I am trying to minimize the downtime while doing the upgrades.

I am seeing a 2.1 and a 2.2 code train.  Havent been able to find any documentation as to what features each has and which would be the  best for me to go to.

Is there a document that covers the best way of doing upgrades ?  I only have the one UCS chassis which has 4 blades in it, so I dont do upgrading enough to have developed a method on my own.
