Will to new boot policy affect all blades?

It's been a number of years since I have had ownership of a UCS environment. Currently, I'm going through and cleaning up some odds and ends that seem to get missed when care and feeding aren't being done. Long story short, I had to create a new boot policy and want to test on a single blade. I dont recall if I change the boot policy on that single blade, does it screw with the templates at all or just update the individual blades boot policy? I know this seems like a silly question but again, been disconnected from UCS support for a good couple of years.  I appreciate anyone's input.  Thanks

Unbinding a Service Profile from a Service Profile Template

[Unbind from the Template] of the single servers' Service Profile.
Then you can modify the one Service Profile without impacting others.

When testing is complete [Bind to a Template] of the Service Profile back to the original Service Profile Template.
Update the Service Profile Template and reboot each server to apply change to all servers.
(That is if the Template is of type Updating Template.)
