We have a C240 M3 with an LSI Nytro MegaRAID NMR 8110-4i. The Cisco documentation states that it supports SAS & SATA drives. The RAID controller is configured so that the 200GB cache is used as the boot drive, rather than for caching the SAS/SATA drives.
In this configuration, can we use SSDs since they won't be cached by the controller and it would be the same as a regular RAID controller?
Can the SSDs be JBOD and not RAID 0 or RAID 1? We'd like RAID 1 but better to be setup in Windows RAID rather than on the controller?
