Is there another solution here? I also installed the 5.3.0.40.1 patch and I have the same problem with the database upgrade. Re-installing with the ISO file is going to be a real problem for me considering I have these things all over the world.
if the wireless network should be treated as hostile, why did you decide to make the 192.168.3.1 interface the "inside" interface on the PIX. Shouldn't you make it the outside interace.
you probably created more than one SVI's. Other than the one inside interface, which in your case is vlan 10. For any other vlans on your FWSM, you do NOT want to create layer 3 vlan interfaces in IOS.
