The 2520 in home labs is typically configured to act as a frame relay switch. It is an ideal piece of hardware because it is inexpensive and has four db60 style serial ports.

For TFTPD server if you are running a Windows platform I would suggest;TFTPD32, which is a free download from;http://tftpd32.jounin.net/It also includes a DHCP and syslog server functionality. Recommended by Cisco as well.
