Is there any reason I can't stack the following two models of switch?
ws-c3850-24T
ws-c3850-24P
There would be no power stacking involved since these models use different size power supplies.
thanks

The subject advisory would require memory upgrades to a few of our affected devices and that process will take too long. These devices run both remote access for users as well as lan-to-lan tunnels. Since remote access for users is not important, if ...
at the moment, we have a 5545X /SFR setup in monitor mode so we can see the traffic breakdown in Firesight. What I'd like to do is have Firesight send a notification (via email?) if a certain type of traffic or a specific application is seen. I can d...
I have an ISR with and interface that shows up as follows;GigabitEthernet0/0 is reset, line protocol is downI cannot get rid of the 'reset' state... actually I'm not quite sure what 'g0/0 is reset' really means, I don't recall having ever seen this s...
"Inbound TCP connection denied from 1.4.19.244/1635 to 1.4.20.212/4001 flags SYN on interface inside"The vlan on the inside interface (vlan19) also needs access to systems on vlan20 so we have a static route on the asa that points to a router that a...
Thanks Marvin -- that's what we feared, but we were hoping.
What if we were to put a filter in place that only allows IKE between the peer addresses, blocks all other udp 500/4500, and apply the ACL to the control plane of the outside interface.
I've heard these arguments before but something about them isn't very compelling. If my network is behind a firewall and I'm not using NAT, you still can't get to my internal net. The types of attacks i've seen that can get past firewalls apply to se...
Problem disappeared after a reload. After the reload I tried to duplicate the condition by removing and re-building the acl but it now functions as expected. I find it odd that a problem like this manifested itself so specifically without any other a...
It's an outbound acl. If I remove the two telnet permits I find all telnet traffic is stopped as expected. With the two permit lines added I find telnet is allowed to any host.Maybe I'm missing something about having applied the acl correctly?
Your answer has no bearing on the original question. He, as I, would like to know how to view traffic levels on individual vlans. It appears to be an issue with switching occuring in hardware vs software. If I force a tcam error (too many ACLs on an i...
