so without a NAM blade i'm stuck with mini-rmon which doesn't show automatically show a top talker. It looks like it only show one port at a time and you would have to manually compare them to other ports.

Yes i tried the boot statement with both bootflash: and tftp:. I am using the MGMT port and TFTPing the file. I can see the file being pulled fromt he tftp server but it nevers boots. It also doesn't copy the file to bootflash.rommon 27 > boot cat...
i had this same problem when using Terrapin FTP server and i used Microsoft FTP and it worked fine. In the Device manager manual for version 3.1 there is a list of supported ftp web servers too.
