Hi friends!Does anybody heard about an issue with WGB (with Cisco 819 or Cisco 1262) regarding to the multicast traffic, wich just can go through the Native Vlan in a mesh network (with AP 1552)? Under this scenario, the wireless network should be fl...
Hi GuysI have an AP Cisco 1552E mounted on a mining truck (CAT 797F) in a mesh wireless network. I´d like to know if i can place each antenna in diferent places of the truck with 3 LMR400 cables (e.g.: one in the left side, one in the middle and the ...
Hi friends!Im designing a mesh network (outdoor) and i want to use some AP1552. I´ve seen this AP has 3 connectors N for antennas and i´d would like to know if i can put a sector antenna working in dual band (2,4/5GHz, 802.11N) and the other 2 connec...
Hi guys,My boss asked me the following:We have a critical server located in network A, if this server fails we need to redirect the traffic from clients to another server located in network B. (Clients still point to server located in network A)I had...
Complementing the fact that this is supported in one direction, is when wired clients in multiple VLANS behind the WGB obtain IP by DHCP. This works fine. But in this case the broadcast packets (DHCP Discovery, DHCP request) GO to the WLC.
I found this in the “Using Cisco Workgroup Bridges” based on “Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Lightweight Access Points Configuration Guide, Release 7.4″ :“The broadcast forwarding toward wired WGB clients works only on the native VLAN. If additional V...
Hi Friend!Did you get any feedback to this? Im facing a similar issue with a Mesh Network (1552E) and AP 1262 as a WGB. The clients behind WGB dont recieve multicas/broadcast traffic in any VLAN 802.1q, but the native vlan.
Very good input Bruce. Definitely mining is a world apart.Cisco engineers have recomended us the isr819 as well, but they dont mention the use of an AP with a different configuration (as antennas placed in different directions). For obvious reasons t...
I dont work for a mine. We integrate Caterpillar technology in different mines in Chile. The problem with WGB is that solution can not transport multicast traffic in different Vlans, but the native vlan (the one associated to SSID) and much of the cu...
