Hi Networkers, I have a luxury issue.
I run to ISP connections at home.
1 - ADSL2+ 2- FTTH 750mbps
I now have the cables running into my 3Com 5500-EI (no poe) version.
and im having the idea of just creating 2vlans, on port level. also because im having to deal with 2 DHCP pools, from the ISP side. but i run an Cisco 877W-M on the ADSL side, and am prepairing to use an Ubiquity USG on the FTTH side. So i thought it up to use 2 different Pools, but i guess that it will go wrong on the Switch side. Any advice would be appreciated.

Remembering that the Catalysts needed an complete boot path, doesnt need the C3800 series also the complete path? boot: cannot load "flash:" like > boot: load "flash:bootup-image.ext"

Hi,
Im wondering about my 2 WLC526's.
One is 2 port, while my 2nd one has 12ports.
But one has only the 2port cut out, and the other one neatly has the 12.
the 12ports has a faulty CF card, (installed with ubuntu something)
if i swap the CF of the 2ports into the 12ports, it boots fine, but in the gui i only see the 2port image.
I have also tried to image the CF, but the clone seems not to boot. (judging from the amber led going on)

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, But things get a bit hectic.
1. There is an CF installed
2. It is an 1GB Cisco branded CF card, so we could assume it is an compatible card.
3. When given an 'dir' command, Flash displays serveral files, size, extensions.
4. It wouldnt have given the 'dir' command, and/or displaying any contained files.
on topic, I have and issue with the copying of the bootloader, by my guess an issue with the MAC address/ETH ports (as given in the post)

I have gotten hold of a 2nd hand C3545, with the use in mind to replace my 778Wm and adding more function.
But during my first boot, it enters ROMMON upgrade, And fails to boot from it?

And it states that u can upgrade the flash, and the 64mb ram memory upgrade is only supported on the 1751 series and up.

that was indeed the issue, but im guessing there's something wrong with the routing from dhcp to Dailer0, because when i ping from console i get a 100% response, but from the client i get 0% but the wan links seems to be working now, so that's one routing problem solved :)

Hi, i own a Cisco 877W-M and a adsl line from Tele2. i got it running with the adsl interface. so it authenticates, and gets an ip adres, but when i use "test connection" i get an error that the "Exit interface" doesnt goes to the internet, and says its an routing issue. and to be honest, i dont know what to change to get it working. i use the dns servers provided by the ISP, so that should work. here's an screenshot of the error, and solution i get? ive also tryed to use this forum post, but that also doesnt work. https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/116711/static-routes-next-hop-exit-interface-or-ip-address

Hi Easamoah, i found a RMA form on the Cisco site with the rules and numbers for you to use to find out if you can send the modem to Cisco for repair. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/rma/3582.html but i guess its cheaper, to look on ebay for a 2nd hand one, and just swap out the motherboard of the modem. and i sugest you place a surge protected poweroutlet, to hopefully prevent future burn-outs. let me know if you need any help, ill see what i can do

im guessing that it isnt your memory that is blown, but rather the memory slot of the router. and i think that the it will runs just fine without the 256 dimm, because according to this article your router has 512mb by default. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/800-series-routers/data_sheet_c78-519930.html but you can run into problems with future ios versions or features. so with the future in mind i would see if you could RMA it, or swap out the motherboard to gain a fully functioning device.
