Hey Octavio, Load balancing does indeed only apply to the default class and no other classes. I am not able to find any resources which can confirm this however I assure you based on experience this is true. 

Certainly unusual..You could try recreating the VLAN interface. Also ensure the Layer 2 VLAN is created.

I would agree with Daniel. I don't think you can append to a file that does not exist.
