Adding Polycom VVX 301 Phones onCisco Call Manager Express

Hi Guys,

Has anyone integrated Polycom VVX 301 Phones with CME. Specification on Polcom website highlights that VVX 301 supports SIP Protocol. Support Documents from Polycom highlights the procedure to add their SIP Phones to CUCM but nothing for CME.

Appreciate if anyone can share some documents in this regards?

Hi Gaurav,

You could try adding it in CME like you do normally for any third party sip phones. Few things to note:

- For registering third party sip phones, mac-address is irrelevant. SO you can even give a dummy one

- Only thing it will use is the digest user id and password to register

- While configuring voice register pool in CME, do not configure phone type

Once you are done with this, provide the server IP, port and digest user credentials on the polycom phone web page.
