Hi,
I have a friend with a CISCO ATA and a VoIP service provider (www.mivoz.net). The Voip company assigns a POTS number from Madrid, so anyone in Madrid can call him at a local rate no matter where my friend is.
I want to buy an IP phone (or by software) and be able to call him directly (not through his POTS number), so that calls are completely for free.
Can this be done? How can I know his protocol and "direct number"? Which software can I use for Windows or Linux?
Any help would be appreciated.
