Disable SIP ALG in Cisco 1800 Series Router

Hello,

My company has bought Cisco 1841 router to improve voice quality for our IP Phones as our IP Phone provider only support Cisco routers.

But we are still having an issues with our IP Phone.

We have been informed by IP Phone provider that our phones are failing to user STUN.

SIP ALG should be disable into the router.

I have manage to run following command to disable SIP ALG,

no ip nat service sip udp port 5060

I cannot find any other command to disable SIP ALG.

IP Phone provider said SIP ALG should be disable router wide and not just specific to one port.

How can I disable SIP ALG for router and not for just one port?

Router has IPBase IOS.

Regards,

Jatin

Hello.

The standard port for SIP is port 5060, so Cisco runs an ALG on this port.

You've switched it off, so there os NO ALG running for UDP at least.

Non standard ports won't be running the SIP ALG by default, although you can switch one on using the command you found.
