Hi:

We are testing a PGW2200 using MGC v9.6.1 in cuasi-asociate mode ( same E1 link for SS7 and bearer channel, connected with the local TELCO.

Everything works well.

Now, we want to start-up a new provisioning for the second PGW2200 and run both ones into fail-over enviroment.

What are the next steps in order to do these tasks?

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Hi!

If the second is already in "STANDBY" mode, you just have to do "prov-sync" on ACTIVE one and configuration will be tranported to standby.

Christian,

Quasi associated links are when the PGW is not connected directly to a switch. You are using an "F" link or fully associated configuration.

All you need to do now for your other PGW is make the changes in the XECfgParm.dat file to setup the redundancy. The same will have to be done on the active system as well.
