ITSP SS7 solution

We are ISP/ITSP and we are planning to upgrade some parts of our VoIP network to introduce support of SS7. Currently we use AS5350 just to convert calls from TDM networks to our VoIP network and vise versa, but as this gateway has no SS7 support we are looking for a similar solution of a VoIP Gateway which supports H323/SIP on VoIP side and SS7 Signaling/Transport, PRI and R2 over E1's on the TDM side.

Maybe cisco ITP solutions can do that, but I couldn't figure out if it would work without CISCO PGW. I only want to use one device.

any ideas?

What about the Cisco AS5350 Universal Gateway?

It doesnt support SS7 signalink links...

The 5350/5400 and 28XX support ss7 signalling links. It just depends on how you wish to use them.

The ITP is used to transport SS7 or as a signalling gateway to a PGW.

The 5XXX gateways are used as integrated SLTs. They terminate MTP2 traffic and backhual MTP3 and above to the PGW.

Hi, To switch ss7 calls you would need either

1) The PGW2200 in conjunction with the ITP-L or integrated slt of the as5350

2) or the Cisco BTS10200 with ITP.

So the answer is you would need multiple boxes.

If you only want to switch ss7 packets (STP), then the Cisco ITP will work as an STP.
