Memory Issues ?

Every couple of weeks our CCM starts blocking outbound calling (call drops and users get a busy tone). This was verified with cellulare phones for testing. The only Alarms in the real-time monitoring relate to low available memory and LowTCDServerHeartbeat. Could this be characteristic of low physical memory on the CCM? The contractor that did the installation used the minimum 512mb for both CCMs which support a max of 250 configured employees. What else may be a cause of permitted inbound but denied outbound calling ?

You have to provide more info. The LowTCDServerHeartbeat could be a result of low RAM or hight CPU. You would really need to look @ some perfmons for PrivateBytes, all processes & the CPU utilization for all processes.

I am assuming that you are using 7815I servers??? Regardless of the hardware platform 512M RAM is really not enough. This is even more true if you are running MLA or 4.x CCM.

Should have included that info in my posting, sorry. They were installed on the IBM 340 series platform and using CCM 4.0. The memory as viewed in RTMT is constantly at +99% on both servers. I was kind of thinking about the methodology that may have been used for the call processing, what would be dropped first in the event of maxed hardware resources, outbound before inbound calling, etc.
