MGC 7.4.12 -> 9.4.1 upgrade problem

I'm doing MGC upgrade testing, and have the following problem:

ACTIVE MGC - 7.4.12

STANBY MGC - 9.4.1 (upgraded from 7.4.12 according procedure from CCO)

When I start 9.4.1 it becomes STANDBY, but with following errors in the paltform.log:

Switchover is not working:

SROF /* MSO refused, Warm start-up Failed. */

If I shutdown 7.4.12, 9.4.1 becomes OOS and then ACTIVE after processes recovery. Then, I bring 7.4.12 up - it becomes STANDBY, and switchover 9.4.1->7.4.12 works. After switchover 9.4.1 goes to OOS and then to STANDBY but with the same errors. And switchover 7.4.12->9.4.1 is not working again.

Any ideas ? I tried to do that with and without patches - same result.

Why don't you try upgrading the both the MGCs to the same version.

That's my goal :)

But to do that I have to manual switch-over from 7.4.12 to 9.4.1 during upgrade.

It looks like.

- upgrade StandBy 7.4.12 host to 9.4.1

- switchover from Active 7.4.12 to 9.4.1 (9.4.1 becomes Active)

- upgrade new Standby 7.4.12 Host

- switchover

- at this point I will have two 9.4.1 hosts

Second step does not work. I can switch 9.4.1 to Active by shutting down 7.4.12 only. It drops all active calls. I don't want it.
