Dear All,
My setup is as follow:
Telephone set [TS1]
|
|
PBX [PBX1]
|
ISDN PRI
|
2650XM [GW1]
|
Leased Line
|
|
3745 [GW2]
|
ISDN PRI
|
PBX [PBX2]
|
|
Telephone Set [TS2]
After configuring both Gateways call from TS1 to TS2 and vise versa is successful but let's say:
TS1 start dialing TS2 here is what happens:
TS2 ring but from TS1 I don't hear the ringback tone When the call is answered both end don't hear each other at all..
Could someone point me to the right direction to solve this problem?!!
Regards,
Tamer Bayomy

inorder to your comments it seems there is a delay for ring tone, if stay online you should here the ring back. due to silence, it is because of your unmatch codec. try same codec for both ends. hope it will help you.

in the pots dial peers use the command "direct-inward-dial"
in voice-ports configure the cptone of your country
for example for germany is "cptone DE"
to generate the ringback tone in case the Q.931 alert message is not providing a Progress Indication, use the following commands in dial peers pots:
progress_ind setup enable 3
progress_ind alert enable 8
Also in the voip dial peers u can use the command "progress_ind setup enable 3"
Cut-through in both directions can be set on the gateways through the use of the Cisco IOS global configuration command "voice rtp send-recv" .
cheers
Robert

Does the PRI card in your PBX fully support the ISDN switch type signalling you have set in the router? I had this problem with Nortel PRI cards and it was resolved by changing from one PRI card to a PRI card that supported the downloadable D-Channel and then changing the ISDN switch type to primary-qsig.
09-30-2004 01:43 AM
Yes it did support.. anyway i solved the problem by enabling ip cef..
10-03-2004 07:06 AM
Tamer, I had a similar problem with Cisco router 3600 and Nortel/Meridian PBX Option 11C. The problem was at ISDN route mismatch between PBX and router. You do not say what is the PBX model. However, read this Cisco Interoperability page to discover some PBX/Router Templates.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps341/prod_configuration_guide09186a00800f0bfe.html
Choose your PBX model and check/match the parameters.
Good Luck!
