Hi Ejiroro,
When you say you have a call manager working, is it a single server or a cluster of servers? If you want to setup redundancy, you may want to look at adding more servers in the cluster, in which case you will only need a node license.
Please share more details regarding your Call manager cluster setup if you need more clarity.
Cheers!

Many thanks Chitrangad Pathak for responding to my question,I have a single server or Unit (cisco 2811 router as my call-manager) but I want to have another one for redundancy purpose with the same hardware plateform, IOS Version, configuration on standby just in case I have any issue with my primary server or call-manager but I think for this to work,I will need a new license for the redundant unit but I am not sure of this.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Ejiroro,
Yes your understanding is correct, you will need a separate license for this. One way to go about it is to have the redundant server ready in all aspects and have the license re-hosted with the mac address of this CM in case of a disaster. But if you are expecting that the standby CM will be used more frequently (like during activities) and not in a complete disaster you will be well off getting another license.
Here is a link to a doc which speaks about CM licensing
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/8_0_2/ccmfeat/fsgd-802-cm/fslicense.pdf
Hope this helps
Cheers!

are you talking about call manager express ? inside 2811 router ? telephony-service ?
I am not sure Cisco can sell licences or something for 2800 series. maybe itis closed.
