Whats the SRST mechanism used?? Is it using call-manager-fallback or CME SRST using telephony-service command?
If using CME SRST and manually defined ephones and dns, ephone may be tied to incorrect dn.

Post the relevant output from below or post both if not sure:
Sh run | s fallback
Sh run | s telephony|ephone

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

I used CME as SRST under telephony-service

Are you manualy defining the ephones? Then ephone may be assigned incorrect ephone-dn. Please check your configs. If not sure how to, post the below, and high light the ephone thats picking up wrong dn:

Sh run | s telephony|ephone

Thanks, Terry

extenstion 8511 is assigning correctly.

extenstion 7003 is wrong.It should be 9514.

The 7003 is the extenstion number the phone was previosly registered with a standalone CME.

If Ephone 1 with mac A456.3041.A75C has dn 9514 during normal operations. Then due to some bug i think its not reading the correct config.

If the extension 7003 is not used anywhere delete it fron cucm.

First try the below when phones are registered to cucm:
Telephony-service
No create cnf-files
Create cnf-files

And check the config gets updated otherwise manually do:
Conf t
No ephone-dn 1
Ephone-dn 1 dual
Number 9514
Name 9514
Desc 9514
Ephone-dn templ 10

Anothe alternative can be:
Copy all commands under telephony-service to notepad
On the router remove all CME config by running no telephony-service command
Copy and paste the config back from notepad

I tried both way.No use.still it is  registering with number 7003.

Strange..

1) Where is it getting this 7003 extension from? Is it used anywhere? If not did you delete this?

2) what steps did you try?

3) is the phone getting 9514 in normal mode?

4) It appears to be a bug if you are doing everything correctly. Can you try a reload? Whats the router and IOS?

Otherwise You can try to manualy create ephones and dns and see how it goes:

no telephony-service   -- removes all ephones and dns

telephony-service

max-ephones 5

max-dn 10

ip source-address 10.1.4.1 port 2000

max-conferences 4 gain -6

ephone  2

device-security-mode none

mac-address 0CD9.9690.7611

button  1:2

type 79XX   << add the model number

This should work. As we are creating all the ephones and dns manually just verify from CUCM the mac and dns.

1.This 7003 no was configure to this phone previously with a UC560.but That UC560 is no longer with the network.

2.I have removed this 7003 no from the router and tried again.still it was registering with 7003.and also removed telephony command and created again.no use.

3.This phone is registering with correct no 9514 when normal mode.

4.SRST router is 1861E

IOS version is  C1861 Software (C1861-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.2(3)T,

when creating manualy its registering properly.

and more thing to note that there is one more phone this is also getting wrong extenstion number.but this no was previously configured for this phone with a CME.that cme also not connected to this network.

look like this router is not getting directory no from CUCM.

Can you check SRST refernce under your device pool in the CUCM is it correct? I know it should be correct but as its behaving bit strangely asking you to double check.

I think since in your case you dont appear to have much phones you can use manual method.

But you can also log a case with TAC if you want to further troubleshoot.

Thanks Terry .I have checked the SRST reference many times.no use.anyway  I will try to find a solution. If anyone got any issue like this please share.

Thanks

kavi
