3CX Directory not accessible from phone

I have a SPA504G phone connected to a 3CX phone system. I tried to configure the XML phone directory service. When I go into the directory on the phone I am presented with the name I provided for my 3CX directory but if I select it I get an error saying 'Request failed'.

The attached screenshot shows how I have configured it on the phone consol.

Can anybody advise what I might be doing wrong?

It is possible that your .xml file is larger than 10 KB. Several phones can not store more than 10 KB of xml file.

The size is not limit. According specification the phone directory must not contain more than 32 items.

But if 3CX is willing to create Cisco compatible phone directory file (forget .xml extension - it's not true XML, it's Cisco specific XML-like format), I assume it follows the specifications
