We have a 3 site setup that utilizes inter-site dialing using 8+site code+3 digit extension. Every once in a while the main site loses the ability to dial to the other two sites but site B and C can communicate just fine. This is where it gets weird... The fix is to simply log into Site A with CCA. Thats it! As soon as I log into CCA and connect to the main site, the problem is solved.
I should also mention that when inter-site dialing goes down, the VPN still works yet I can't ping the main vlan. I can ping CUE and Voice but not data. As soon as I log in locally with CCA this issue is also resolved.
What could be causing this?
