Changing Phone to Octo-Line & Background Images

Hi There,

Just deployed a UC560 running 8.1 Software pack and had a few questions regarding the two aboved mentioned items:

First, the phones were setup (without knowing) as dual lines.  This is for a call center, so octo-line phones would make more sense.  Is there a way to change the phones on the fly from dual-line to octo-line via GUI or CLI?  All phones are Cisco 7975's.

Second, I saw some older documentation on uploading personalized background images on phones, but wanted to know if there was anything updated for the UC560?

Hello,

You can change the phones from Dual-Line to Octo-Line in CCA, the only issue is that CCA will not allow this change if that extension is being used in a Hunt Group or other groups.  So you may have to remove the user from those groups, or just delete your groups first, change the line type, then re-create your groups.  So it would be best to do this when the users are offline..

I have not seen any "new" documentation for uploading background images, but the procedure and steps have not changed.
