Hi anyone,
My client need objective using cisco IP phone 7940 dial the extension number( may be **) which will transmit this to cisco ATA 186 telephone adaptor port 2. The current port 1(RJ11) is connected to analog phone. Thus, they will dial the (**) port 2 destination which in turns to give some relay output to short the door contact for unlock purpose.
Now, is that can I just used the market normal relay 48V AC relay which connect the two lines from RJ11 port 2(fxs port) and once the person dial the extension number the port 2 will generate the voltage and the relay will close contact once reaching the desired voltage?

Customer don't want to interface to the door controller, it just want to intercept into the magnetic door lock to unlock delay few seconds.
Anyone can provide the suggestion?
