I purchased a CISCO SPA232D and I just connected.
I want to know how to configure the device so that the PSTN line is passing, that can continue to use the analog phone without problems. I noticed that when the device is switched off, the line is passing, but as soon as I turn it on, the line is disconnected, then it is a configuration problem that I do not know how to fix it.
thank you very much

The hardwired passthru of PSTN line to internal line is emergency feature designed for an exceptional cases like blackout. It allow user to call out even with no power. It is mandatory feature in some countries.
But it doesn''t mean neither that the call connected during normal operation will not be interrupted in the case of blackout nor call connected during blackout will survive the power on.

Many thanks Dan for your kind response.
So, as I understand, the PSTN line is not passing when the SPA232D is operating (powered).
Thanks a lor and if there was (in the future) an opportunity, by changing some additional parameter, to make it passing, let me known.
Have a nice day

It's up to you to configure how the calls are routed during casual operations (e.g. powered). All incoming calls may ring on internal analog line, all dial out on such line may be routed to PSTN. Just configure routing according your's requirements.
If you wish for hardwired passing (e.g. SPA232D doesn't affect the path at all) then remove SPA232D from the path entirely. Just connect local line directly to PSTN wall plug.

Excuse me Dan, but I am a newbie in this kind of equipment and above all, on their configuration. I do not know how to according the routing so that all PSTN arriving calls , are diverted to the PSTN phone and vice versa.
Then I'll have to configure the SIP line, but I think that for this I will not have problems.
The only issue was the ability to connect the normal PSTN device SPA232D and pass through the normal PSTN phone calls (and, subsequently, in addition calls on SIP line).
As I wrote, I'm a newbie: if only I could find a script where everything is reported on the configuration (what NOT Cisco provides), it would study well and would find the solution.
That's it.
Thank you for your understanding and for the time you have spend.
Have a nice evening.
