Do they ATA's have a built-in fail save - reboot feature

I hope I did not confuse the question..

what i'm looking for is that the unit would ping a specefic IP address.. if it can't get it after 3 tries the unit would reboot.

does this feature exist ? if not how do I suggest it to make it happen ?

BTW, what's the purpose of such feature ? I have no idea what network problem can be solved by reboot of SPA112, for example. Are you trying to solve a internal firmware bug you hit ?
