feature request for uc500 series - tri-collor butto on ip-phone

hi at all,

it would be nice if the following feature could be implemented into the uc500 series / cme like it is impülemented into the communications manager.

what i want is a tri-color button to monitor other directory numbers so that the behavior of the button is like the blf/sd button on cm.

button off                         -     line is idle

button static red              -     line is busy

button flashing yellow     -     line is ringing

Further more the buttons can be use as shortdial buttons.

actually it is only possible to monitor/watch the other dn´s. with this configuration there are only 2 states:

button off                         -     line is idle

button static red              -     line is busy or line is ringing

The behavior has disadvantages because the customer can not differ whether the phone is ringing or busy to pickup the call by pressing the line button.

If anybody knows if this behavior of the blf/sd could be reproduced on uc/cme systems please correct me. Otherwise i would like to see thees features in future uc/cme versions.

Hi Carsten,

I think you will find that this feature is available on the UC-500 series CME, the question is what phones are being used? What you want are not available on the SPA-500 series phones if I am not mistaken, but are available on the 7900 series phones (Maybe on other series as well).

thanks for answering. can you tell me what i have to configure for the button to flash yellow if an other dn is ringing? monitor? watch?... or is there another thing i have to configure... maybe presence??? maybe you can give me an configuration example.
