Line status Green, DND on Asterisk Server - Spa50xg

I have an issue with phones not recognising that they are in DND mode.

I can set DND through the phone with the star code. I can see from asterisk hints that the line is marked as busy. However the line appearance on the phone is still green rather than changing to red. Is it possible to make line key change colour when DND is being done by asterisk?

Using the built in DND on the phones is not an option as it does not sync back with asterisk ( why has this not been done! )

If the Line Key is configured as BLF, then there is no way to see it "green" unless it is properly subscribed to a device state. So I assume your's line keys is subscribed to a state, but not the state showing DND status of the phone you are interested in.
