ephone-dn 28

number 622

paging ip 239.1.1.2 port 2000

paging group 2

ephone 6

mac-address 0000.0000.0000

paging-dn 28

type 7921

button 1:10 2:11 3:12 4:13 6:2

When calling 622 from a 7965 I cannot recieve any pages on the 7921 phones.  Any thoughts?

P.S. I installed a 7911 and inserted in the same paging-dn 28 and it works ok.

Doesn't look like multicast is supported on that AP.  Marcos wrote an article describing the limitation.

You'll need to change your paging from multicast to unicast to resolve the problem.

This is most likely due to the wireless network not passing multicast traffic.  Are you using autonomous APs or lightweight?

Cole

The 7921s are working off (AIR-AP521G-A-K9).   Reading more I see this is an autonomous ap that does not support multicast, or does it?  I do not have a controller to turn this into a light weight...

Thanks for the information.  We changed the paging to unicast and all works well..  Thanks again!
