remote access emergency

Hey guys,

I am sure you have all been down the road of failed equipment before and i am trying to construct a backup remote access system in case of a disaster. If i had a uc500 go down, and i had one of my guys install the physical connections on a replacement I want to be able to access the CLI via console port remotely to load backup configurations on replacement system.

I am looking for some type of console server that I can access the console port of my router and switch via analog telephone line that is cost effective (I.E under 200.00) Basically a console server with 2 serial ports that have console cables connect directly to the uc500/core switch with an analog telephone line to dial in and access remotely. Obviously this would be for a disaster only so assuming uC500 was down, the entire network would be down as well. Appreciate any good suggestions, thanks!

Only suggestion so far: 1 laptop with remote desktop running plugged into device console port - laptop connected to hotspot. Reason for this is I have support who can manage phsyical portion but are not very tech savvy. If they can make the connections for me to get in, I can handle it all from there.

Thanks

Chris-
