Can anyone tell me if the RJ-21 port on the SPA8800 is male or female?
Thanks,
Jason Komar

4 ports are FXS and 4 ports are FXO
FXS means Foreign eXchange Subscriber. It delivers POTS service and must be connected to subscriber equipment (telephones, modems, and fax)
FXO means Foreign eXchange Office. It receives POTS service, typically from a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). An FXO interface points to the Telco.

Thanks for the reply, but I did realize that. The FXO and FXS ports are RJ-11 connections.
I am wondering about the RJ-21 (50-pin telco connector) multiport voice connection: whether it is a male or female connector. I have one on its way to a client and I need to purchase the correct cable to wire it into their patch panel.
Thanks,
Jason
