Second Call Alert Overrides Call Audio

I have a customer with a UC320W and SPA504G phones which uses Bandwidth.com to provide 5 SIP trunks. One of the users complaints that intermittently they will be on a call and receive a second call, which alerts through the handset of the phone, not through the speaker and cuts off audio. The phone is programmed with a busy forward to voicemail destination, and all inbound calls route through Autoattendant, so the calls are likely transferred.

Any ideas?

Hi Erich,

Please make sure the system is running the latest firmware (2.2.2 is the latest).  We had disabled by default the call waiting tone quite a while ago because many people found the call waiting tone disruptive.   For those who wanted to have the call waiting tone enabled, we had provided a PMF for Call Waiting Tone enable for USA and Canada which can be found here:

Basically, you need to disable the call waiting tone.  (LEDs will still blink when a second call comes in.)
