Shared line behaviour question

Hello,

I have a DN which is a primary extension on one phone. It is a shared line being the 2nd line on another phone. What would cause it to ring once on the primary phone and then start ringing solely on the other phone ?

So this is not a supported operation.  CCA actually blocks it (picture below which you can click on to enlarge).

A shared line needs to be created as a shared line (not a normal line) to be shared (added) to buttons on other phones.

Below I am attempting to assign a normal line extension as a shared line on a different phone
