Up to date firmware on the SAP500 series allows you to increase the number of calls that an extension can handle up from 2 to about 10.
However it will not allow you to restrict the number of calls to 1, why? Or have I missed something somewhere?
I have a number of these phones on a hosted system and what I would like to do is to share the line appearance across the phones.
The problem is that if a call is picked up on a phone and another call comes in, the line lamp, already in use, starts flashing and the screen announces a new call, the call - all very confusing and unnecessary.
It also means that a simple call distribution group will not work either, as the phones that are in use will still ring and not allow the controlling software to pass it on to the next available phone.
Is there a simple answer? I would even take a complex one.
