MWI light is on after the phone has been idle for an extended period (overnight) but there is no message and the light quickly turns off after picking up handset. Minor annoyance. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
It should only go on and off if it receives a SIP Notify from the proxy. The only other reason is if it's manually being set and that parameter is under the Ext tab under Call Feature Settings/Message Waiting.
You can run a debug log to see the SIP messages between proxy and the phone.
