I have a DoorKing 1812 gate controller that can answer and place calls and interact with the caller via DTMF tones. I am switching it over from POTS to this ATA but things are not working correctly. The SPA112 works with a normal phone, but not with the gate controller. The gate controller clicks like its answering the phone but the phone continues to ring for the caller. WHen the gate controller tries to pick up you can then hear the ringing coming through the gate speaker so its picking up the line, but the SPA112 doesn't detect the pickup. Hopefully that makes sense. I have reached out to Doorking and they say some ATA's do not have the voltage to work with the gate controller. Is there some kind of settings on the SPA112 that might make this work? I have attached the page showing how to wire things and I have it hooked up exactly like this. We don't have any connections to the "home" line.
