SPA112 : No ringtone in certain situations

Hello community,

we've 3pcs SPA112 in a customer project all updated to the latest firmware and all working well, meaning sending and receiving of faxes is working.

Fax transmit to two special fax recipients isn't working. It seems that the recipient has a automated fax server system and the connection is established immediately. Meaning that between a 180 Ringing and a 200 OK message is no time in that the SPA112 could generate a ringtone. Without the ringtone the fax machines doesn't detect a established connection and no fax transmit will happen.

Is there any chance to force the generation of at least one ring tone?

Ringback tones are country specific. Fax machine may be unable to detect particular kind of ringback tone. It's why detection of such tone can be disabled by configuration of your fax.

And it solve your issue. Just disable it. Your fax will wait for for fax handshaking tone fired by remote fax.
