I have a SPA122 connected to a Cudatel communication server. Line 1 Is defined to an extension in the server and works fine. Line 2 is not visible to the server so I cannot link it to an extension. I understood that the SPA122 should present a second MAC address to the Cudatel but it's not. Is this misconfiguration or do I have a defective unit?

This is Video Over IP, please move to the relevant area, since you're asking about SPA endpoints, that would be the SMB forum

The SPA122 is connected to a SG300 switch. No NAT is set up. Both lines indicate that they are registered, I used the Cudatel provisioning file to set it up. I do not see any difference in the SPA122 lines from the SPA side. From the Cudatel side, I do not see the second line. Line 1 resistered and is available for assignment to an extension, and is working. Cudatel allows a generic SIP device to be assigned by MAC address, which as I said, is not available. This registration method was not necessary for line 1. Line 1 appears as an endpoint device to the Cudatel, which is why I thought a second MAC address was in order, Cudatel Support confirmed this.
Is there something that I need to do to get the second line defined as a separate device? how should Line 2 appear to the Cudatel?

Unfortunately, either first or second can be true, but not both. Registration mean registration request sent to Cudatel AND registration acknowledgment sent from Cudatel to you. Either Cudatel confirmed registration of second line, or it is not aware of it. Both is just not possible.

Line is either registered or registration is not necessary. But not both.
You didn't disclosed the configuration of the lines. You didn't disclosed what's role of MAC during connection to Cudatel. You mentioned the provisioning file supplied by Cudatel. Is such provisioning file created for device with two lines ? If no, where you get configuration data for the second line ?
Sorry, but you need to describe your configuration or we can't analyze the issue.
how should Line 2 appear to the Cudatel?
This is forum related to SPA122 device. We can help you to configure particular behavior of SPA122. We can't tell you what behavior is required by Cudatel. We even don't know the Cudatel's configuration allow you to register two lines at the same time. You need to ask Cudatel's administrator for it.
