SPA500DS Backlite Configuration

hi everyone,

we have a SPA500DS connected to a SPA504G,

and we would like to keep the backlite on.

We can set this for the phone and that works like a charm.

But I cant find it for the attendant.

I did some searching and I found that the SPA500DS uses the same settings as we defined for the phone, sadly this does NOT work in our  situation.

Any tips/help would be appreciated.

You didn't mentioned phone's firmware version. According Firmware 7.5.2b Release Notes:

The Cisco SPA500DS LCD screen backlight is not separately controlled. If the IP phone backlight is on, the Cisco SPA500DS backlight is on. If the IP phone backlight is off, the Cisco SPA500DS backlight is off. The Back Light Timer parameter is configured in the management interface in the User tab, in the LCD section.

It should work for firmware 7.5.2b and newer or you have come across a firmware bug.
