SPA8800 [VoiP->PTSN] How to indicate pause in contact name for dial

I'm sending a dial string to my SPA8800 FXO (Line 1) by chaning the contact name to the phone number to be dialed like this:

<phone number>@<spa8800 gateway ip address>:<specific port for line 1>

I need to have the SPA8800 dial a user entered pause in the phone number like 9 pause 5551212. 

How do I indicate to the SPA8800 that it needs to pause during a dial sequence?
